* As the upcoming Ultraviolent Retribution event draws closer, who else from the CEW will appear on Overdrive?
* What does the apparent new number one contender, Big Nasty, have in store?
*************************************************************** The latest edition of CZW Overdrive begins in a manner decidedly apart from the usual commencement of proceedings, as a chorus of intensely-hostile boos greets the arrival of CEW employee Decker Watts as he steps out on the stage, no music...the fans turn on him instantly. He raises a single fist and saunters down to the ring with his chin up and an arrogant smirk on his face.- Daniels: This guy? Seriously? What is he doing here? Keenan: Interfed Pay-per-view, Daniels...people have been taking liberties with the rules for weeks now! -Decker takes two stes up...he looks out at the crowd and bows! He steps through the ropes and immediately snatches Jessica Towers' mic out of her hands.- Decker: Nice boobs! I mean it. I like them. They're really nice. Can I see them? -Jessica swings to slap him, but Decker ducks it!- Decker: Ah ah! I'm really good at ducking lady slaps, sorry. -Jessica screwfaces him and steps through the ropes, out of the ring. Decker wiggles the mic down near his crotch as he swaggers back to the middle of the ring.- Decker: Lllllllllllllllladies and gentlemen...you know who I am! I'm Decker Watts! -Decker smiles big! The crowd shits on him!- Decker: And you also know that I'm from a biiiiig company up North...or...South, I don't really know where either one of these territories is based out of BUT...I can tell you this...CEW is the best damn sports entertainment company in the USA. -BIG TIME heat!!!!- Decker: That's right! And I'm the CEW's biggest star. But I didn't just come to CZW television to spike your ratings, oh no. I'm here to talk to the CZW X Division Champion...Wes Hartley. -The fans are split on that one. Decker tuns to face the entrance.- Decker: Wes...c'mon out here. Seriously. C'mon down! Don't worry, I'm not going to beat you up or anything. I've got a proposition for ya. C'mon down! -Decker hangs over the top rope and waits...the fans go mild until Wes finally appears...there's a smattering of cheers for the X Division Champ as he coldly eyes Decker from the ramp.- Decker: No no no. Come on down here. To the ring. C'mon! Serious! -Decker sits on the middle ropes and waves Wes in...Wes rolls his neck and glances at the crowd...- Decker: Dude just...yeah, here we go... -Wes starts marching down to the ring, the X Division title proudly around his waist...he comes in a little too hot here, causing Decker to back up across the ring. Wes takes the steps up on to the apron...he steps through the ropes quickly without taking his eyes off of Decker.- Decker: That's good man...that's...that's good. So let's - -Wes unsnaps the X Division title...he holds it up high in the air without a word...the crowd responds positively! Wes lowers the strap back down and sets it on his shoulder.- Decker: Yeah that looks really cool on you, boss...but let's get down to it. I know that you want to kill me...right now. And it's because you're worried about what's going to go down at Ultraviolent Retribution when I beat you for that title. But it doesn't have to be like that, man. You don't have to go through that embarassment. Daniels: This guy is an IDIOT... Decker: You know, my Daddy used to say that the only thing money can't buy, is a man's soul...and even then, it's negotiable. Wes I've got a deal...an offer that you can't refuse. -Decker pinches his fingers together and shakes his fist at Wes, doing his worst godfather impression. Wes is totally unimpressed, hanging back in the corner...he wipes his nose with his wrist.- Decker: Listen up junior...here it is. I want that title...and I want it today. I don't want to wait until Ultraviolent Retribution. So here's what I'm going to do... -Decker slowly reaches into his pocket...he produces a brown leatherbound checkbook and holds it up.- Decker: I'm willing to give you whatever you want for it. Just name it. Name the amount...I'll write a check and hand it to you right now. -Wes perks up a bit...the fans don't know what to think...- Decker: Name it. Money is no object. You name your price and I'll give you that amount. C'mon...it's not like you don't need it, right? Aren't you the guy that's fighting for family? For cash? You won't have to after this, I guarantee it. You'll be set for life. C'mon. Give it to me, Champ. -Wes lowers his head...he looks like he might be considering it. The fans don't approve!- Decker: SHUT UP...let the man make his own decisions. -The fans heat that!!!!- Decker: C'mon Wes...I know there's some bad blood between us...but it can all go away with the stroke of my pen. Do the right thing. Keenan: You gotta admire that man! Daniels: Admire what?! This is ridiuclous...Decker Watts is an entitled, pompous jackass...he just throws money at whatever he wants... Keenan: Yeah, and it works! Besides, he's doing this out of the goodness of his heart. Daniels: What?! -Wes suddenly comes out of the corner...Decker sidesteps and stays out of his way as he goes to the opposite corner and gets a mic.- Wes: I gotta say Decker...that's a hell of a deal. Any price...any amount I want...for my belt? Decker: That's right! Doesn't your mom have AIDS or something? This will totally keep her alive for another...six months or so. -The fans SHIT on Decker!!!! Wes doesn't react...he lowers his head and taps his bottom lip...- Wes: Alright...alright, you know what? You've got a deal. Daniels: I don't believe that...I don't...I know that Wes Hartley is a changed man, and I don't agree with his actions as of late but...this Decker Watts character, he is just... Decker: I knew you weren't as stupid as you looked. So, what'll it be, Doc? -Decker produces a pen and clicks it...Wes, meanwhile, is moving a bit closer.- Wes: Hmmm, let's see, let's see.... Decker: Yeah? Well? What is it? C'mon, I've got a bunch of stu-- -WES DRILLS DECKER RIGHT IN THE FACE WITH HIS BELT!!!! THE FANS ARE INTO IT....HE LEAPS ONTO DECKER AND STARTS POUNDING HIS FACE WITH RIGHT HANDS!!!!- Daniels: AND THERE WE GO....FOR EVERYTHING THAT HE IS...WES HARTLEY IS NOT...A SELL OUT!!!! A DAZED DECKER WATTS PUTS HIS ARMS UP TO SHIELD THE BLOWS...IT'S NO USE, WES IS CLOBBERING RIGHT THROUGH THEM...AND NOW, LOOK OUT...WES RIPS DECKER WATTS UP OFF THE MAT...BOTH ARMS ARE HOOKED...HE HAS A CRAZED LOOK IN HIS EYES...WHAM!!!!! HARTLESS DRIVER ON DECKER WATTS!!!!! -The fans love it!!!! There's still the overture of boos that accompany this, however...Wes pops back up and kicks Decker's checkbook out of the ring!- Keenan: That was stupid! That was really stupid! He could have had anything he wanted! Daniels: Except his pride....Wes Hartley just beat the living hell out of Decker Watts...I think that's the first time we've seen it, and...it was good! These two are going to face off at Ultraviolent Retribution...and Decker Watts trying to buy his way out of the ass kicking out of a life time did not work...he WILL have to pay the price at UV Ret!!!!! -Wes scoops his belt up and steps through the ropes, dropping to the floor...he doesn't look back or react to any of the fans as he marches back up the ramp, leaving a now bloodied and out cold Decker Watts sprawled on the mat...- ***
-=X-DIVISION OPENER!=- *** “Bebot” plays over the PA and Beboy Aquino heads to the ring for the opening contest. He tags the fans’ hands along the aisle and attempts to get the crowd pumped. “X Gonna Give It To Ya” begins to play after Beboy’s introduction, and Jason X heads out to a mixed reaction, a look of intensity in his eyes. He ignores the fans and heads to ringside, hopping up onto the apron and springing in over the top rope. He throws his hands in an X shape over his head and waits for the bell. *DING DING!* Daniels: “Alright, our opening contest this evening features two fantastic athletes from the X Division! Jason X and Beboy Aquino circle up and there’s the lock up!” Keenan: “What is the popular term coined by Buck Evans? Jumping beans?” Daniels: “Beboy takes control with a side headlock but Jason shoves him off into the ropes! Leapfrog by Jason…Aquino ducks a back-elbow on the rebound! Beboy with a spinning heel kick, but Jason ducks!! Beboy lands on his feet somehow, what athleticism! Jason throws a straight kick but Beboy catches it…ENZIGURI!!” Keenan: “Not to worry, I’m sure that mane of hair absorbed most of the impact.” Beboy gets to his feet slowly but Jason sizes him up, charging in and dropping ‘the Pinoy Boy’ with a swinging neckbreaker! Jason quickly makes the cover! 1! - - - - - - 2! - - - - - - -KICK OUT!! Daniels: “Good move there by Jason, but Beboy is not out of it yet. Jason pulls him up and looks to be setting him up for a suplex of some sort. He lifts him, but Beboy escapes, dropping down behind Jason! SNAP NECKBREAKER!! Fantastic counter!! Beboy rolls to the apron…springboards in…BEBOY DROP!! He makes the cover!!” 1! - - - - - - 2! - - - - - - -KICK OUT!! Keenan: “No cigar for the Cuban.” Daniels: “He’s not from Cuba!” Beboy pulls Jason to his feet and appeals to the fans before laying into Jason with a pair of punches followed by an enziguri, a chain he calls ‘Sawi!’ He makes the cover again! 1! - - - - - - 2! - - - - - - -KICK OUT!! Daniels: “Again Jason kicks out! X showing great perseverance here tonight! And now Beboy is heading up top, looking to put his opponent away! Aquino from the top as Jason stands up…MISSILE DROPKICK!!” Keenan: “NOPE. Jason tumbled out of the way and Beboy ate it!” Jason recovers as Beboy fights to his feet. Jason scoops his opponent up into a fireman’s carry and drops him over his knee with a neckbreaker! He drops down and hooks the leg for the pin! 1! - - - - - - 2! - - - - - - -KICK OUT!! Daniels: “Well, Beboy kicked out there but he is in a bad way after that move! Jason senses this and now he’s measuring his opponent up as he slowly stands! He boots Pinoy in the gut…lifts him up…crosses the legs and BAM!! X-DRIVER II!! That’s gotta be it! Jason with the cover!! 1! - - - - - - 2! - - - - - - -3!! *DING-DING-DING!* Towers: “Here is your winner, JASON X!!” Daniels: “Great opening match there and after that display, it looks like Jason is back on track! Look for him to be a big threat to the X Division!!” *** -The camera cuts to a closeup of the CZW Television Title. It zooms out, bringing into view the fact the title is held over the suit-jacketed left shoulder of Daniel Ward, stood in front of the CZW backstage interview set. In his right hand is a microphone that he pulls up to his lips.- (Ward): Evenin' CZW. I interrupt your regular broadcasting to deliver a message to the CZW roster. Now, I'm not going to follow in the footsteps in my Wayward brother Mr King and insist I need to defend this title right here and now, but it is my title that I wish to discuss. It's no mystery that we Sons wish to be seen as fighting champions, and as such we need top-quality competition. -Ward flicks his shoulder, adjusting the title- (Ward): So I'm putting the CZW roster on notice. Go out there and do what you do best.. Put on a bloody amazing show.. I'll be watching you all. Watching and evaluating, so I can be sure that when the time comes, I can pass on the right name to Mr Masters as to whom I should defend this belt against. -A stagehand leans in, whispering to Ward- (Ward): Right.. Apparently Mikey needs me for a planning meeting. Doesn't trust that Deus Ex Machina. Quite right too, nefarious wankers. -Daniel hands over the mic and leaves the shot.. [insert camera cut here] ***
-=#1 CONTENDERS FOR THE TAG-TITLES!=- *** (ding, ding, ding) KEENAN: “This triple threat tag match is underway! We have Mark, Lance, and Jakob all starting this off for their respectable teams.” DANIELS: “And all for an opportunity to challenge for the global tag team championships.” As the three wrestlers circle each other in the ring, Lance immediately goes after Mark, but Jakob locks up with him. He attempts to whip him into the ropes, but Lance whips him into a standing clothesline. Mark flings off the ropes, but Lance catches him with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. Jakob grabs Lance from behind and bounces his face off the mat with a reverse Russian leg sweep. DANIELS: “This looks like anybody can take this one.” Mark grabs Jakob from behind, but Jakob manages to escape it and follows it up with a standing boot to the face. Mark stumbles back against the ropes and Troy tags himself in. He hops on the top rope and leaps off the top turnbuckle with a missile dropkick to the chest. He’s up to his feet and charges at Lance Anderon, but Lance lifts him up with a flapjack against the canvas. Lance stumbles back to his corner and tags in Nick. KEENAN: “Nick Stevens is ready to do some work now and it’s not looking good for Total Mayhem or The Revolution.” DANIELS: “I think the Demolition Crew are tired of sitting on the sidelines and they want a piece of the tag team champions.” Nick races inside the ring and surprises Jakob with a STO. As Troy is standing to his feet while holding his stomach, Nick turns to catch him with a superkick to his jaw. Nick lies over the top of Troy, 1 – 2 – Troy manages to get a shoulder up. Jakob has tagged in Ezra. As Ezra comes into the ring, he grabs Nick’s midsection from behind and throws him overhead with a German suplex. He quickly covers, 1 – 2 – Nick gets a shoulder up. DANIELS: “Ezra almost got an upset over Nick Stevens. Could you have imagined the fear in the tag matches if Total Mayhem would have won?” KEENAN: “Any one of these teams would give the champions a run for their money, but I don’t know if any of them have what it takes to beat Brian and Christian.” Ezra is first to his feet and he grabs a half standing Nick, but Nick rams him back first into the shoulder and begins repeatedly thrusting his shoulder into his midsection. Troy runs up behind him, but Nick quickly rolls out of the way as Troy delivers a dropkick to the chest of Ezra. Troy turns around and Nick lifts him onto the shoulders with a Samoa drop. He is up to his feet and he runs off the ropes with a huge body splash. Nick runs over and tags in Lance. Lance races across the ring and punches Mark Brooks off the apron. Jakob is in the middle and as he runs at Lance; Lance and Nick meet him with a double chokeslam in the middle of the ring. He rolls out of the ring as the Demolition Crew focus on Ezra. Ezra starts to climb to his feet and Lance whips Nick into him with a body avalanche. Ezra is dazed as Lance follows it up with a superkick over the top rope. KEENAN: “Goodbye Ezra!” Troy is standing up to his feet, but he’s staggering, and Lance turns his attention to the tiniest wrestler in the ring. Lance Anderon grabs him and hooks him up… he connects with the Rydeen Bomb! KEENAN: “There you have it, NEW TRADITION! DANIELS: “He’s going for the cover and Nick is making sure the other three stay out!” ONE… TWO…. THREEEEE!!! KEENAN: “Demolition has earned their right to compete for the tag team championships!” JESSICA TOWERS: “Your winner AND NEW CZW GLOBAL TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS’ NUMBER ONE CONTENDER… LANCE ANDERSON AND NICK STEVENS… DEMOLITION CREW! “Scorpion Deathlock” begins blaring as Mark and Michelle quickly help Troy roll out of the ring as there’s a mixed reaction from the jam packed arena. Lance and Nick’s arms are raised by the referee. KEENAN: “It looks like the tag champions might have one of their biggest opposition to date.” DANIELS: “It’s definitely going to be a tag team title match the CZW do not want to miss!” *** -Shot cuts to Jarred Daniel and Barry ‘The Mind’ Keenan in the booth.- Jarred Daniels: What a great night of action so far here tonight at Overdrive, I little later tonight Mike King steps into the ring with DXM’s Eric Collum for the CZW Intercontinental Title. Barry ‘The Mind’ Keenan: Collum might in fact be the biggest challenge King has had to that title and you have to wonder what role DXM will play in tonight’s match. Jarred Daniels: Power in numbers Barry but Mike King has the Wayward Sons to offset DXM but I think we are in for one hell of a crazy night. Barry ‘The Mind’ Keenan: We are in for maybe one of the best Main Events in recent memory tonight. -The crown begins to stir as some kind of commotion is going on, the fans are coming to their feet and looking away from the ring and up towards the steps leading to the lobby of the arena.- Jarred Daniels: Mike King came out here and voiced his displeasure about them lack of title defenses he has had…. Barry ‘The Mind’ Keenan: I’m sorry to cut you off but something is going on out in the crowd, I can’t exactly see what it is, is there a fight out there? -Both Barry and Jarred stand up and look out to where the fans are standing up, someone is walking down the steps towards the ring, it’s hard to get a good view of the man, the fans are making it tough for him to get down the steps and there is no CZW security helping him.- Jarred Daniels: HOLY CRAP IS THAT WHO I THINK IT IS? Barry ‘The Mind’ Keenan: It can’t be, he’s not on our roster! Jarred Daniels: I THINK IT IS, HE USE TO BE, HELL HE WAS ONE OF THE MOST DOMINATE ULTRAVIOLENT CHAMPIONS THE CZW EVERY HAD! Barry ‘The Mind’ Keenan: Yeah but he’s not with us anymore, in fact he’s 100% CEW. Jarred Daniels: THAT MAY BE THE CASE BUT LADIES AND GENTLEMAN THE FORMER CZW ULTRAVIOLENT CHAMPION IS IN THE HOUSE AND LOOKS TO BE HEADED TO THE RING! -The camera cuts to show Buzzsaw fighting his way down the steps, he reaches the rail and climbs over it and rolls into the ring and holds up the bamboo cane into the air and the arena goes nuts.- CZW Fans: WELCOME BACK!!! WELCOME BACK!!! WELCOME BACK!!!! Jarred Daniels: The CZW fans are giving Buzzsaw a hero’s welcome here tonight in Pikeville, Kentucky!!! Barry ‘The Mind’ Keenan: Don’t they realize he’s not one of us, he’s CEW people!!! Jarred Daniels: It doesn’t seem to matter to these fans!!! -Buzzsaw calls for a microphone and Jessica Towers walks up the steps and stand on the apron and hands him her microphone. Buzzsaw paces around in the ring but the crowd still hasn’t calmed down.- CZW Fans: BUZZSAW!!! BUZZSAW!!! BUZZSAW!!! Buzzsaw: I’d be lying if I didn’t say it’s good to be back inside a CZW ring!!!! -The fans erupt.- Buzzsaw: But….but you all know where I now call home, WHERE HOME HAS ALWAYS BEEN FOR ME!!!! -The crowd slowly calms down and is mixed by this statement.- Buzzsaw: Don’t get me wrong, my time here was great, I enjoyed bringing my certain style of hardcore to the land of the ULTRAVIOLENT CZW but has much as I enjoyed my time here CEW will always be my home, it’s where I became who I was, The Hardcore Icon, the NINE time CEW Hardcore Champion so when I heard Eric O’ Sullivan announce that this year’s Retribution would be a co-production with the CZW, renamed Ultraviolent Retribution I knew I had to be a part of it. To be honest with you I was done, I was ready to walk away after Icestorm, ready for my last match to be against Zak Xemlis but the thought of being on a card with the only two homes I’ve know, well I was willing put off my vacation, I told Morgan I had to come back for one more match, one more night, so I called Eric O’ Sullivan and told him I wanted on the card and he was ready to give me anyone I wanted, he pitched the idea of a rematch with Devin Hearst for the KODM Title, maybe another match with Krimzon Blaze, maybe put me in the ring with a new comer like Zandrous but I told him no, no to all those, I told him I wanted to name my own match, I wanted to go out on my own terms, if we were going to do this cross over event then I wanted to represent the CEW against someone from the CZW, I TOLD HIM I WANTED TO NAME MY OWN OPPONENT!!! So that is why I’m here tonight on CZW TV, on Overdrive and not on Thrill, I came here tonight to challenge one man and one man only!!! -The crowd comes to their feet, ready to hear who Buzzsaw is going to challenge.- Jarred Daniels: Who’s he going to call out? Berry ‘The Mind’ Keenan: Well if you’d shut up we would hear who. Buzzsaw: From day one when I walked through those doors and became a CZW member I heard about one man, I was compared to one man, everything I had done in the CEW was excepted by people here but there was always a whisper, how would I have fared against one man, it became a dream ‘What If’ Match, I won the CZW Ultraviolent Championship but it was still the only match people wanted to see, the talk brought him back, the dream matchup was made, Buzzsaw verses ‘Bad Ass’ Matt Covey!!!! Jarred Daniels: No way, he’s not calling out Matt Covey is he? Barry ‘The Mind’ Keenan: By the sound of it it looks like he might very well be calling out Covey. Buzzsaw: Matt if you are listening back there you and I tore this place down in the summer of 2010, our Extreme Scaffold match at Heatwave III was called one of the most high profile matches the Ultraviolent Title had seen, we of course took it to another level in the Triple Threat Death Cell match, he put that title back on the map Matt, in the CZW you were my true rival so if the CEW and the CZW are going to have a joint pay per view then there is only one man I want to face, The CEW Hardcore Icon verse the CZW ‘Bad Ass’ one more time, ONE LAST TIME!!! Do you have it in you still Matt, do you have it in you to face me one last time? I know you’re back there, I know your listening, April 22, Ultraviolent Retribution, Buzzsaw v. Matt Covey, I’ll let you decide the stipulation, I don’t care, ALL I WANT IS YOU MATT, LETS TEAR THIS PLACE DOWN ONE LAST TIME, I’ll be waiting Matt!!! -Buzzsaw holds up the microphone and drops it in the center of the ring, he walks over to the ropes and holds the cane into the air, the crowd gets behind him.- CZW Fans: ONE MORE MATCH!!!! ONE MORE MATCH!!!! ONE MORE MATCH!!!!! Jarred Daniels: Well I’ll give him credit, it takes balls to walk into the CZW and challenge ‘Bad Ass’ Matt Covey to a match on his company’s biggest night. Barry ‘The Mind’ Keenan: Maybe he has taken one too many trash cans to the head, NOBODY in his right mind would call out Matt Covey to a fight, I don’t care who you are, he may be the CEW’s Hardcore Icon but Matt is a crazy son of a bitch, he’s not going to let this man walk in here and make him look bad, Buzzsaw you want a fight, well pal, you just called out a monster and when you’re being wheeled out of that arena on April 22 just remember, YOU ASKED FOR THIS!!!! -The shot cuts to one last shot of Buzzsaw in the ring before fading to a promotional video.- ***
-=BIG VS NUTZ!=- *** Daniels: Well here we are. The one on one contest between a former team! Keenan: They had ONE match as a team. Granted they were successful however one match is one match. I can't wait to see EP derail the momentum train that is Big Nasty. Daniels: Well here it is, time for El Pablo to take on Big Nasty! Big VS Nutz! In the City by Kevin Rudolf begins to play as the fans are booing very loudly as El Pablo walks out from behind the curtain with Cristal by his side. He does a pose on the top of the ramp and starts to walk to the ring. Jessica: The following match is scheduled for one fall. Making his way to the ring first accompanied by Cristal. He is "The Machina Dragon" EL PABLO! Daniels: I don't think I will ever get used to the people booing El Pablo. I don't think I will ever get used to this El Pablo. Keenan: You may not get used to it but GOD DAMN he is the best Heel Pose in the business. El Pablo slides into the ring as he arrogantly walks around the ring and Battery by Metallica begins to hit. The fans begins to cheer as Big Nasty walks out and raises his Money in the Bank briefcase over his head as he walks to the ring. Jessica: His opponent, he is CZW's Mr. Money in the Bank! "The South Beach Specimen" BIG NASTY! Daniels: There he is! Mr. Money in the Bank and arguably the hottest superstar in CZW right now Big Nasty. Keenan: I always suspected as much Daniels but I'm glad that you finally came out. Daniels: I didn't mean it in that way Keenan! Big Nasty climbs onto the apron and steps over the top rope. He is in the opposite corner of EP as Jessica and Cristal leave the ring and Cristal starts walking around ringside. The referee signals for the bell and this match is under way! Daniels: Here we go! El Pablo VS Big Nasty! El Pablo is starting off by bouncing off the ropes and goes for a shoulder tackle but Big Nasty is not budging. El Pablo just gets a smirk and runs off the ropes again and goes for another as Big Nasty still doesn't budge. Nasty is even appearing to be laughing. El Pablo goes for one more but Nasty side steps and Pablo keeps running. Pablo bounces off the ropes and is hit with a MASSIVE flapjack! El Pablo was definitely near eight feet in the air before he came crashing down! Keenan: The last time Nasty did a Flapjack to Pablo they wound up winning a match. This time around Pablo is not as pleased as he quickly rolls out of the ring and Cristal is checking on him. Pablo appears to be a bit frustrated. He rolls back into the ring as he is circling and.... yup Pablo is going for a test of strength with Nasty! I love it! Daniels: Some, questionable offense here form Pablo to say the least as Big Nasty is obliging. El Pablo and Nasty have it locked in and El Pablo is trying with all his strength to get Nasty to move but it is not working. So Pablo resorts to a quick kick to the gut to Nasty and THAT works as Nasty is taken aback a bit from it. Pablo not letting up hitting Nasty with rights lefts and kicks until Nasty is backed into the corner. El Pablo now trying to whip Nasty into the far corner. However it is not working as El Pablo is grabbed by the neck and he is thrown into the corner Nasty was in as nasty is out and he is kneeing Pablo one right after the other in the corner. He pulls Pablo out of the corner and hits him with a quick snap suplex and goes for a cover 1......2. nope Pablo kicks out. Keenan: Nasty is using his CLEAR power advantage as well as ever and this is no exception. El Pablo can't seem to get anything going right now as Big Nasty is back to his feet and El Pablo is pulled to his by Nasty. Nasty lifts Pablo up and hits a backbreaker on Pablo! He hasn't let go though as he now drops Pablo with a sidewalk slam! Nasty stays on for the cover 1.....2.....Nope! Pablo kicks out again! Daniels: Nasty is in complete control which you kind of had to expect with the size difference here. Nasty once again gets Pablo back to his feet and whips him into the turnbuckle! Nasty is going for a corner splash but Pablo rolls out of the way. Pablo now goes for a leg lariat but Nasty catches him and Uh Oh! This could be the Nasty Bomb early as Pablo is doing everything he can to get out of it as he continues to punch Nasty in the head with rights and lefts and Pablo hits a hurricarana on NASTY! WOW! Keenan: Nasty rolls through and is quick to his feet as is Pablo. Pablo now runs over and floats over Nasty and hits a DDT! Nasty is down! Pablo has taken Big Nasty down! Pablo is on his feet as Nasty gets up to his knees. Pablo hits him flush in the head with a rolling koppu kick and Nasty is once again down on the mat! Pablo rolls him over and goes for the cover 1......2..NOPE! Nasty kicks out! Daniels: El Pablo is on top of his game right now and Nasty is probably wondering whee he is as he seems a bit out of it! And wait, was in Pablo doing! What is Cristal doing?!? Keenan: El Pablo is standing with one foot on the chest of Nasty as he is doing a pose and Cristal on the top rope is taking a picture of it! I'm totally going to find this on Instagram! Daniels: Pablo with complete disrespect for Nasty as Nasty grabs Pablo by the foot and Pablo is now frantically getting Nasty to let go with repeated kicks to the head and eventually Nasty lets go! Pablo takes a few steps back as Nasty is stirring and... WHAT ARE YOU DOING! Keenan: Look at this picture on Instagram! See the heading there Daniels? Just doing away with these losers I work with. #HeelPose #DXM #MachinaDragon Daniels: Well perhaps you should do a little less instagramming and a little more color commentary as Big Nasty is up to his feet but Pablo is right there with a big right hand. Pablo now taking a couple of steps back and he NAILS Nasty with a running handspring enziguiri and Nasty is wobbling. El Pablo takes another run and hits Nasty with another one and this time Nasty is taken down! Nasty is down again and Pablo isn't going for a cover. What is he doing?!? Keenan: Look at that! He's grabbed a headset with a microphone attached! I think Pablo is going to do some commentary! Daniels: Unbelievable! Pablo: You all loved that didn't you! Me taking this giant fool off his feet with my fantastic abilities. Abilities some of you can't even obtain in your dreams! Yet here I am hitting running handspring enziguiri's. If you loved that wait until you see this. El Pablo is getting ready for it. Keenan: This is great! He's calling his own moves so we don't need to listen to you anymore! El Pablo: OH! Pablo with a truly stunning Top Rop Lionsault! DAMN! Here we go he goes for a the cover 1......2......COME ON REFF! Keenan: I do think that was a slow count. Daniels: This is god ridiculous! Pablo: However, Pablo isn't phased too much by this referee who is clearly TERRIBLE AT HIS JOB! Seriously bro, who taught you how to count? Not like your job is that hard. You have to count to at least three, at most ten. Come on man! Daniels: Pablo should spend less time paying attention to the referee and more time to Nasty! Keenan: Why is that Daniels? Daniels: Well for one during his rant Big Nasty is now back on his feet. Keenan: PABLO! QUICK! COMMENTATE THE NEXT MOVE YOU'RE DOING SO YOU CAN DO IT TO NASTY RIGHT NOW! Pablo: I can't believe this match is still happening I mean Big Nasty is only HOLY FU....... Daniels: NASTY JUST BROKE PABLO IN HALF WITH THAT SPEAR! Keenan: Great, just great, we're back to listening to you talk about moves. Daniels: The head set has gone flying off and Nasty is in control! He isn't even getting Pablo to his feet. He just deadlifts Pablo up and oer his shoulder and hits him with a Dominator! Nasty is all over this right now as he isn't going for a cover he is going for pure punishment! Keenan: He can't do that to Pablo! This needs to be stopped. Daniels: Ok you go in there and stop him. Keenan: I'm not doing that! Keep doing what you're doing big fella. Great job! Daniels: Exactly what I thought. Nasty is in full on assault as he gets Pablo up and throws him into the corner. he goes off with rights and lefts and rights and lefts. Nasty now takes some steps back and hits a HUGE corner splash! Pablo stumbles out and Nasty kicks him in the gut. Lifts him up and POWERBOMB! Nasty holds on though! Keenan: NO! He's going for the triple powerbomb! Daniels: There it is Powerbomb number 2! If Nasty hits this third nasty bomb it is all over! He has Pablo up! Keenan: WHAT WAS THAT!?!? Daniels: MACHINA MIST! THAT BLUE MIST MAY HAVE JUST SAVED PABLO'S LIFE! NASTY DROPS PABLO WHO IS SHAKING OUT THE COBWEBS BUT NASTY IS BLINDED AND GOING DOWN! Keenan: The big side effect to that Blue Mist is it puts you to sleep. Nasty is going down and Pablo is resting. This is going to set Pablo up beautifully for the end! Daniels: Damn it there it is! Nasty is down and Pablo is arrogantly walking to the turnbuckle. He jumps once, twice and Sault in the Wounds! That double moonsault stomp and he goes for the cover 1.......2......3! Pablo wins! In the City by Kevin Rudolf begins to play as the fans are booing and it is deafening in the arena and El Pablo rolls to the outside of the ring in the waiting arms of Cristal. Keenan: PABLO DID IT! Jessica: Here is your winner, EL PAAAAAAAABLOOOOOOO Keenan: He stopped the hot streak of Nasty and got a bit of revenge on the attack from last night! Daniels: Thanks to his damn blue mist! El Pablo comes away with a victory over Big Nasty! Pablo leans back on the ropes as he smirks down at the defeated Big Nasty, face still blue from the Machina Mist! Kandi pouts on the outside as Cristal soon joins him in the ring, the masked couple sharing yet another passionate kiss, much to the chagrin of the crowd. As they continue to celebrate, Ryan Shane motions over to Jessica Towers, ripping a microphone out of her hand. Shane steps up the stairs and onto the apron, entering the ring with his mic in one hand and the DXM branded CZW World Title in his other. Shane stares down at the fallen Mr. Money in the Bank, the theme music dying down through the length of time he stares. His fellow DXM members look to each other, trying to figure out the situation at hand. Pablo leans over the ropes to Eric Collum on the outside, who only shrugs back to him. All eyes turn back to the champion in-ring, who doesn’t look back, but raises his hand holding the microphone, pointing up the ramp. He holds the position until Pablo gets the hint, leading the rest of DXM out of the ring area and up the ramp, Cassidy stops once and turns back, but is forced to the backstage by Ryan’s glare. Shane takes a few steps closer to the center of the ring, where he stands by Nasty’s head. Ryan lays down the world title flat on the mat by his head, then sits down cross-legged by him. Ryan looks around the arena, the normal mix of rowdy cheers and boos absent. There’s no cheers, no boos. The entire Eastern Kentucky Expo Center is lost in silence, awaiting the next move from Ryan Shane. Shane extends the microphone, holding it up slightly before letting it drop onto Nasty’s forehead once, then twice, and again, each time the thud echoing through the speaker system. Satisfied with the acoustics in the arena, the champ flips the microphone upside-down, bringing it up to his lips as he stares a hole through Nasty’s forehead. Kandi seems like she wants to scream something or help Nasty, but she doesn’t. She can’t. Shane: “When a near seven foot, three-hundred pound man comes on television in a wrestling ring, and he tells the world that he’s going to stomp a six foot one, two-hundred twenty-five pound man into dust, most people call that man a main draw. Ain’t that right, O’Sullivan? In CZW, however, when the near seven foot, three-hundred pound man comes on television in a wrestling ring, and he tells the world that he’s going to stomp a six foot one, two-hundred twenty-five pound man into dust, the people call that man a victim. They’ve been calling those men victims for the past five years of my career, especially so now in the land of Combat. Anyone else noticing the pattern? I sure do. It’s always the same cycle. Some asshole beats a couple of nobodies, then he pounds his chest and tells everyone that he’s going to kill Ryan Shane. They laugh me off, they tell me I’m not good enough to beat them, and like I do every. Single. Time…….I beat them. I knock them out. One, two, three.” Ryan’s tone is full of the boredom we’ve come to know and expect, but that common apathy isn’t the most hard-hitting aspect of the curse’s demeanor. There’s a layer of disgust to everything he does, from the scowl on his face as he looks down at his “challenger”, to the words he chooses. Ryan seems to be like a disgruntled executive being forced to clean toilets. He places his index finger and thumb together and motions back and forth with it, trying to find the words to say. Shane: “…..That’s all this was going to be, Nasty. It’s was just gunna be another match, hell, I was convinced you were going to hold onto that briefcase as long as you could. That was your ticket to a little main event status, a little boost in pay, and the bottom line, it was your only chance to wear the big belt. Ask anyone in here! Hell, I’ll ask it now! Anyone in this building, feel free to answer! Before you saw that Money in the Bank match, how many of you considered Big Nasty a future world champion?!” There is a small response of hardcore Nasty fans, all showing their love for “The South Beach Specimen”, but a large amount of fans are still silent. Whether it be from their agreement with Shane or the sheer shock of the moment is to be determined, but the lack of response comes to no shock to the champ. Shane: “My point exactly, and Nasty, you had the chance to prove us all wrong. Lights out, Nasty Bomb, cash-in, new CZW champion, and honestly I would’ve applauded you. I would’ve let you take that title because you would’ve done the best anyone in your position could do………..but you fucked up, Nasty. You fucked up as big as only you can…………and you didn’t pin me. Naw, you had to try and play mind games. You tried to get in the head of Ryan Shane, but like I told everyone else who pulled the same stunts you are, once you get in there…..there ain’t no comin’ back. I don’t mind trash talk, man, I really don’t, but what I do mind is when no-talent hacks with stupid names and an extra chromosome attempt to question my character. I mind when they use the terms like “man” to me.” Ryan runs his hand over his head, shaking it as he does so, before looking back up. He passes a glance over to Kandi, who sinks back down below the apron, before looking back to Nasty. Shane: “You tell the world how I manipulated people because of you, and yet you seem to fall on deaf ears when we told the world operation DXM was in effect before the CZW had returned, before this carcass in the ring got himself that nifty briefcase. You tell the world that Ryan Shane has no chance, but the numbers don’t lie, Nasty. When I want to win, I win, end of story. I’ve knocked more people out in the last two years than most others, including yourself, have in their entire life. I don’t lose………” Ryan’s hand lowers to his face, which he wipes a few times, before running it down, exposing the reds of his eyes. His entire form begins to tremble. Shane: “But then, then you had to bring up fear. You told everyone you could how you made me afraid. How I feared you. Well, let me ask you something, Nasty.” Ryan suddenly shoots forward, leaning on one palm as he glares mere inches from Nasty’s face. Shane: “DO I LOOK AFRAID TO YOU?!?!” Ryan leaps up to his feet, walking around the ring at the sea of fans held silent by the shock of this disturbing moment. Shane: “Do you hear that? Do you hear that, Nasty? That’s silence. That’s the sound of fear! These people fear me! The people at home fear me! The people in the office fear me, and whether their last shreds of dignity keep them from admitting it or not, the men and women on this roster fear me. I AM FEAR! You had to do this, though. You had to convince yourself you had some kind of edge because nobody else does. You need someone to believe in you, because you’re afraid. You’re afraid that this is your last chance. You’re afraid of the fact that all of your “fans” know you’re going to die. You’re afraid of the singularity……. but in doing so, Nasty, you attacked the Machine. You attacked me……..and you woke me up.” Ryan’s scowl forms into a small smirk, a few chuckles escaping from his lips before a snort returns him to his deep frown. Shane: “You want to bring up fear. You want to dive into fear, well that’s fine. I’M BORN FROM IT! I want you to see these floodgates before they open, and know that everything that comes after is all your fault. It’s all the fault of your cowardice. This is no longer about a championship. This isn’t about an underdog like you stepping up to face the world eater. This is about pain. This is about my pain! This is about the pain that has driven me on through fields of faceless clones with height advantages and quirky nicknames! You’re going to drown in my misery, and you’re going to choke in my despair. Nasty, you are going to find out what a man really is. No attacks in the dark, no insults behind cameras. Just agony. The agony of a man………..who never had his chance to be a boy. I’m going to show you your fear. I’m going to show you how much of a coward you really are.” Ryan reaches down, taking back up his CZW world championship, before stepping closer to the head of his challenger. He stares for just a few moments longer, before looking back up to the people. He stared at them, waiting for the image to be burned into their memories forever, before looking back down to his future victim. Shane: “A coward dies a thousand deaths, Nasty……and at Ultraviolent Retribution…….you’re going to die all of them.” “The Sound of Truth” by As I Lay Dying rips through the silence as Ryan throws his mic to the ground. He picks his left foot up, literally placing it forward and stepping on Nasty’s head as he looks out to the crowd, lifting his DXM-branded World Championship into the air, rage in his eyes. The camera holds onto the sight, before cutting to the back. *** [The camera scans the Combat Zone as the arena goes black...] Daniels: Well now, this is interesting... Pitch Black. Keenan: That movie was great, but I wonder whose coming out. ["Headstrong" by Trapt plays for a few seconds before switching to "A Cut Above" by Avery Watts surfaces over the airwaves as "The Aerial Specialist" Krimzon Blaze is seen on the ramp as the crowd are red hot with cheers.] Daniels: This place is electric and we all know why that is... It's Krimzon Blaze! Keenan: One of the Wayward Sons.... Woohoo. Why is he out here? Daniels: Beats me. [KB walks down the ramp with an angelic look in his eyes, almost feeling somber really you could guess as he climbs up the stairs then through the top and middle rope before Jessica Towers hands her mic over to KB. He taps the mic to see if it's live then speaks into it...] KB: Testing 1 2 3... Alpha Charlie Tango... Ok, we're good. [KB gives a thumbs up to the crowd as another wave of cheers erupt.] KB: COMBAT ZONE! [Yet another wave of cheers goes on through the arena.] KB: You're all probably wondering just why it is I came out... I think you'll have a better understanding after watching this. [KB points to the Combat Tron as the words "Desperate Times" engulf the Tron before going to the main event - King eliminating Shane before EP takes advantage and ultimately wins the match, thus saving CZW....Until Derek Damage came down to the ring only to get a chair shot to the back of the skull by none other then El Pablo himself, and just when things seemed to be at their bleakest, "Taking You Down" by Egypt Central hits the airwaves much to the chagrin of Ryan and EP as they stand tall ready to fight only for Collum to level Damage once again and Ryan then belts out three letters....D...X...M. The reformation of DXM has arrived...Then the week following...Ryan and EP team to take on Ward and King, and seal their fate with a W under their belts over Ward/King. The camera focuses in on EP...his demeanor totally changed since Desperate Times.] KB: That. That is what has been eating me alive... Seeing and not only having witnessed it myself from the back because I was in a hellacious X-Division Title Match (Which I lost by the way...) El Pablo turned... First it was Ace, and now you EP... [KB's voice grows more somber by the minute.] KB: As if I didn't have enough to worry about... This whole thing has gotten clearly out of hand...It was all about The Uprising, and now it's all about Deus Ex Machina...You honestly believe everyone thinks of you as a running joke, EP? You honestly are going to believe in the kool aid that Ryan Shane has orchestrated against you? You then come on out and explain why you did what you've done... You, El Pablo, The Five Star Superstar... The man whose held every single title in this company, changes because a straight edge junkie Nazi general told you?! This isn't the El Pablo that many have come to know and love.... I thought you were much better then this EP... Alot of people might think of you as the butt-end of the jokes, but quite frankly, I don't. [KB's voice straightens up upon that last sentence, his demeanor changing again.] KB: I don't see you as anything like that... You've always been the competitor at heart, and yeah you've pulled pranks and done stupid things that at times I've even had to wonder about, but what it all boiled down too was how far and how much you've done here Paul...This war that has changed the landscape of CZW... You're on the wrong side of the fence this time man... Remember all the wars Team XTC had to endure? The Whole Damn Show...The Revolution...Tim Timmons' many tries at stable creations only to fail and ultimately humiliate not only himself but those that have gone above him and succeeded... I'm willing to bet 100 dollars NOBODY believed that I'd be the 2nd longest reigning X-Division Champion in this company's history, but I did it! NOBODY expected that... NOBODY knew just how far the lengths I would go to hold onto that X-Title... But I'm not out here about Wes Hartley...That douche monkey can go rot for all I give a damn, I'm talking about you El Pablo... YOU are the Heart and Soul of Combat Zone Wrestling... The ultimate of ultimates... Heh... The Fanciest Face Of Planet-Pro Wrestling... The Five Star Superstar... And you sacrifice all of that, to be a LACKEY for the wrong team...ALL in the name of the World Heavyweight Title?!?! [KB's voice is now entangled in fury, his face boiling over.] KB: I know what kinds of lengths you'd go Pablo...But to honestly sell you're very own Heart and Soul to the devil himself in Ryan Shane... You aren't right, and guess what - I don't want to have any part of it... Hey Mike King, you want to fight this so-called war with DXM... Be my guest. I'm done.... I'm done dealing with messes that honestly have no end in sight... You can thank El Pablo for literally tearing my heart out of my chest, crushing it, then spitting on it as he was walking away. Good. Bye. [KB drops the microphone as "A Cut Above" by Avery Watts hits the stage as a distraught crowd don't know what to make of what they've just heard.] Daniels: Can you...believe it? Krimzon Blaze is leaving The Wayward Sons... Does that mean he's walking OUT of CZW?! Keenan: He's got a brain after all... ***
-=SIMPLY BAD ASS!=- *** Towers: The following contest is scheduled for one-fall. Man of Constant Sorrow pumps through the Eastern Kentucky Expo Center Matt Covey enters the arena. Towers: Introducing first, from Wherever he damn well pleases, weighting in at 225 pounds, THE BAD ASS, MATT COVVVVVEYYYYYYYY!!!!!! Covey receives some cheers as he walks to the ring. Daniels: Here comes Matt Covey. Former member of the Uprising. Kennan: Who knows what his alliances are. Covey enters the ring and stands off by one of the turnbuckle. Man of Constant Sorrow is replaces by Im Better Than You as Jake Wakefield walks through the curtain and to the ring. Towers: His opponent; from Los Angeles, CA; weighting in at 225 pounds; he is simply mesmerizing; JAKE WAKEFIELDDDDDDD!!!! Wakefield charges to the ring and slides in under the bottom rope and quickly gets to his feet. Daniels: Jake Wakefield has an impressive resume thus far in CZW. Kennan: Yeah he has lost to Ryan Shane and Mike King, two men any member of the roster would not really complain about losing to. The referee calls for the bell. DING! DING! DING! They start out slowly circling, Covey towering over the smaller Wakefield. He moves in to attempt a grapple, but Jake ducks behind and immediately kicks at the back of his knee, knocking him slightly off balance. He continues to strike, kicking twice more in rapid succession before Covey falls to one knee. Wakefield with a pair of clubbing strikes to the back before Matt rocks him with a backhand to the face. Jake recovers and moves in again, but Covey is back on both feet and rocks Wakefield with a headbutt and follows with a swinging neckbreaker. Covey bounces off the ropes and connects with a big splash. Covey goes for the cover. ONEEE!!! TWO! Wakefield with the kick-out! Kennan: That was quick to get a two count. Daniels: Well you take a headbutt from Matt Covey and tell me it is easy. Covey gets up, yelling at the ref for a slow count. Kennan: C'mon Covey, this is not the time. Daniels: I thought he was more experience than to do that. Matt with an elbow drop, but nobody home. Wakefield quickly up to his feet and against the ropes, and he charges Covey and attempts a cross-body block! Matt catches him in mid-flight and he lifts Jake up over his head and drops him down with a front slam. Wakefield rolls onto his stomach, holding his back in pain! Covey pulling him up to his feet, clubbing him with right hands before whipping him to the ropes. He attempts a clothesline, but Wakefield ducks beneath! He rebounds off the other side and Covey again swings a clothesline, but once again Wakefield ducks! Wakefield off the far ropes yet again and he comes back with a dropkick, knocking the bad ass down. Kennan: Bad Ass down. Daniels: Big dropkick from Jake Wakefield. Kennan: He timed that perfectly. Covey is getting up slowly, Wakefield stalking behind him. He grabs Matt’s arm and spins him to face him, Wakefield with a snap DDT! He goes for a pin. ONEEEEEEEEE! TWOOOOOOO! Covey kicks out. Daniels: That was close once again, Wakefield with the DDT. Kennan: Yeah, Wakefield could have had Matt Covey there. Wakefield jumps onto the stunned Covey and locks in rear chinlock. The ref begins checking with Covey to see if he submits! Covey struggling, screaming at the ref, telling him that he won’t quit, but he soon begins to fade. The referee sees that Matt is non-responsive, so he lifts his arm…it falls! ONEEEEEEEEE! He lifts his arm once more, and drops it. It hits the mat! TWOOOOOOO! The referee raises Coveys arm and lets it fall again…it falls! NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Daniels: Signs of life from Matt Covey. Kennan: Wakefield is not going to put Matt Covey away that easy. The crowd somewhat cheers in support as Covey begins moving, attempting to fight free with his second wind! Matt rolls onto his stomach and stands, carrying Wakefield on his back. He pulls at Wakefield's arms, trying to loosen the hold, but he has the rear chinlock cinched in tight. Covey then charges backwards into the corner, the jarring impact breaking the hold! Wakefield in the corner as Covey paces away, breathing heavily and trying to get his bearings. Daniels: Covey looks out on his feet. Kennan: He was locked in a hard chinlock for nearly a minute. Wakefield charges out of the corner but Covey catches him around the throat, Wakefield struggles as Covey signals for Blowin Out Your Brains much to the crowds approval! Wakefield with a kick to the knee, and another, breaking free! Another kick drops Covey to one knee, and Wakefield moving up to the top, but Covey recovers too quickly and he takes Wakefield's legs out, crotching him on the top turnbuckle! He moves to pull him into a fireman’s carry, but Wakefield holds onto the rope, countering it, using the momentum to push Covey shoulder-first into the turnbuckle. Daniels: Looks like Jake could be going for the Red Light Special. Wakefield runs towards to the ropes and springs onto the ropes and leaps off trying to cross body press Covey but Covey ducks. Wakefield slams hard on the canvas. Kennan: Crash and burn for Jake Wakefield. Daniels: He is in a heap on the mat. Covey points to his head as he walks toward the fallen Wakefield. Covey grabs Wakefield and hits him a knee strike to the head and then the midsection. Covey then throws Wakefield into the ropes. Covey goes for a clothesline but Wakefield ducks and bounces into the ropes. Covey goes for a knee to the midsection but Wakefield jumps over rolls Covey up into high angle schoolboy. ONEEEEEEEEEE! Wakefield grabs the tights! TWOOOOOOO! THREEEEEEEEE!!!! The referee calls for the bell, Wakefield lets go of the tights and the crowd boos what just happened. DING! DING! DING! Kennan: Wakefield got him. Daniels: He had the trunks. That was not a fair pinfall. Kennan: The referee did not see the tights. It did not happen. Wakefield rolls out of the ring and raises his hands. Towers: Here is your winner, JAKE WAKEFIELDDDDDD!!! Wakefield looks at Covey and he drops his arms and runs. Covey kicks the rope. Daniels: Clearly Covey is irate about the loss. Kennan: I would be too but referee decision is final. *** The camera backstage opens up on a photograph pinned to a locker in the locker room. The photo depicts two children. After a moment, one is recognizable as a much younger Alan Fiscus. The other is unknown, his face having been drawn over in black pen to make his face look skeletal. From the foreground, Alan Fiscus himself arrives, pulling the photo off of the locker and looking at it in confusion. Slowly, some sort of realization begins to dawn on him, his eyes widening a bit and his face adopting a look of disbelief. ???: “You remember now, don’t you?” Alan turns, startled by the voice and he is instantly dropped, struck in the head by a fistful of pennies, the copper coins scattering across the floor from the impact. CRYPT crouches down over Alan, grabbing him by the throat. His hair hangs in his face but it is apparent that he actually is not wearing his normal facepaint. CRYPT: “FIFTEEN YEARS, Alan. Fifteen miserable years! It’s all YOUR FAULT!” CRYPT takes the photo, grinding it into Alan’s face. CRYPT: “And now…I’m going to end it. I’m going to end YOU. BOTH OF YOU.” He stands and gives Alan a cheap kick to the ribs, the camera going tumbling to the ground as he shoves the cameraman to the floor on his way out of the locker room. ***
-=MAIN EVENT!=- *** DANIELS: Folks, it is now time for our Main Event.. perhaps the biggest Main Event that Overdrive has seen since this company's re-inception almost one whole year ago! Mike King.. after countless demands for the higher-ups to allow him to be the "fighting Intercontinental champion" he so wants to be.. FINALLY puts his belt on the line here tonight... against the returning former World Heavyweight Champion, Eric Collum. KEENAN: Jarred, tonight is the night.. the night that Mike King is made to regret all of his whining and crying and bellyaching about never defending his title belt.. because, mark my words, when this show is over.. it ain't gonna be his title belt anymore! DANIELS: Well, there are no doubt several out there in the audience who share your sentiment, Barry.. but Mike King is a hell of an athlete, with a record and legacy that would shame almost ANYBODY here in CZW... in fact, on that note, let's take a look at the official "Tale of the Tape" for this confrontation! The following graphic fades up to span the entire visible space of the screen.
DANIELS: Some key points to pick out from that; obviously, Mike King the defending Intercontinental Champion, a belt he has held now for one-hundred-and-fifty-five days. It is the second-longest Intercontinental Title reign in the company's history, and has King now positioned behind only Brian Blaze in the records for "Most Combined Days as CZW Champion." Mike King can quite-realistically claim to be one of the all-time greats of CZW... BUT.. in all his time as Champion.. he has never faced an opponent quite like Eric Collum, who - unlike King - has had the priveledge of standing right there at the very top of the mountain as CZW World Heavyweight Champion; a title he won in a Triple-Threat match with El Pablo and defending champion Maynard O'Toole in January 2009, and a title he would go on to hold for fifty-seven days before being defeated in CZW's Tower of Power II at Road To Glory. Collum also holds the distinction of having the second-longest Television Championship reign in CZW history.. and while his active career here does not span quite the length of time as King's.. any time Collum HAS been rolling here, he's been rolling near the top. KEENAN: You're leaving out the most important statistic in all of this though, Jarred... momentum! Mike King's batting 0 and 2 right now, whereas Eric Collum is undefeated since making his return to CZW! DANIELS: Well, he's only had one match, but, nonetheless, you are correct.. certainly Mike King has not had a particularly happy time of things recently, just barely missing out on victory in the Desperation Chamber at the Desperate Times Pay-Per-View, then suffering defeat in a tag match against Ryan Shane and El Pablo two weeks ago.. although in somewhat "controversial" circumstances, might I add! KEENAN: You may not! The graphic fades out, and, with Jessica Towers and the referee in position inside the ring.. "Taking You Down" by Egypt Central hits the soundsystem. KEENAN: Here we go!! A hail of boos begins to shower upon the stage, though an audible level of cheers is detectable beneath as Eric Collum slowly struts out onto the stage, followed just behind by El Pablo, Cristal, Cassidy Fontaine and Ryan Shane. All of them have their hoods raised, and EP and Shane have their respective CEW Tag Team and CZW World Heavyweight Championships wrapped around their waists. DXM lines up at the top of the ramp, with Cassidy and Cristal flanking Shane and Collum, and EP taking up position in the middle. The three males give each other a look, then EP steps back.. winds an arm up.. then drops to a knee and theatrically presses a fingertip to the floor of the stage as Shane and Collum bump fists.. and a huge wall of pyro shoots up from the stage behind them. KEENAN: Check THAT out, Jarred!! DANIELS: Yeah.. no surprise that William found a little extra money in the budget to allow these guys to show off even more... KEENAN: That's MR MASTERS to you, Jarred! DANIELS: No.. trust me.. it isn't. EVER. As the sparks fizzle out, DXM begin to make their way down the ramp, EP stumbling slightly as Cristal drops back to lend a hand, a smirk on both their faces. DANIELS: El Pablo moving a little uneasily there.. still suffering some effects from his match with Big Nasty earlier tonight, perhaps? KEENAN: I think it's just the power in those fingertips, Jarred.. it's so intense that not even HE can go through it completely unscathed! DANIELS: Is that right..? KEENAN: I heard Cristal is VERY appreciative! DANIELS: Oh, PLEASE! DXM reach the ring and make their way inside, EP vaulting over the ropes and landing on the bottom one to allow Cristal to step through from the apron, while Shane sits on the middle rope across the ring to let Cassidy through as Collum slides under the bottom rope. The five then make their way over to the near side, where EP and Shane hop up onto the second rope in adjacent corners, as Collum steps up on the ropes in the centre, with Cristal and Cassidy taking up position in between. All five make an "X" with their arms, drawing a swell in the fans' reactions as they hold the pose for a few moments before retreating and taking up position at the back of the ring, all engaging in strategic discussion as Eric removes his hoody and drapes it across the top turnbuckle. Collum's music fades out, and after a few moments, the sound of "St. Anger" by Metallica begins to blast out, drawing a decidedly-more positive - though still somewhat-mixed - response from the CZW crowd. All eyes turn to the stage, where - after a few seconds - Mike King steps out through the curtain, the Intercontinental Championship wrapped around his waist. As King moves towards the ramp, his eyes firmly focused on DXM in the ring, he is joined on the stage by Daniel Ward, Krimzon Blaze, Mike Monroe, Tatum Regan and Joshua Newsome, each and every one of them looking more-than prepared for a scrap. DANIELS: The Wayward Sons out in full-force tonight.. my god, we've got a LOT of very combustable elements set to be out at ringside here, Barry! KEENAN: You're telling me! Four Gods and Goddesses.. SIX Sons and Daughters... Darrin Powers is gonna have his work cut out keeping this one under control! With the Sons lined up behind him, King unwraps the IC Belt from around his waist and thrusts it up into the air, his eyes never once drifting from the ring. He then lays the belt over his shoulder and leads his troops down the ramp towards the ring. One by one, they enter through, over and under the ropes, and the "accomplices" move to stand off with DXM as King heads to the corner, hops up onto the second rope and raises the belt above his head once more, drawing a big pop from the crowd. King holds position for a few moments, encouraging the fans to bring the noise with a wave of his clenched fist. The fans duly respond, and King then hops down and takes up position at the head of the Wayward Sons line, he and Collum now moving nose-to-nose with each other. DANIELS: Collum and King now nose-to-nose... an extremely volatile.. extremely combustible situation here, folks.. that ring is full to bursting point with egos, hostilities.. and people just generally waiting for the slightest opportunity to start going hammer and tongs at each other! KEENAN: It's a big fight feel on a big fight night.. you've gotta love it, Jarred!! TOWERS: Ladies and gentlemen.. the following contest... is a LUMBERJACK MATCH!!! DANIELS: A lumberjack match!? A loud murmur begins to reverberate around the arena, as the Wayward Sons share confused glances with each other and the refere.. while the DXM members just stand with wry smiles on their faces. DANIELS: When the hell did that get changed!? KEENAN: If you ask me, it was the logical decision to make, Jarred! I mean, you're gonna have the ring surrounded with bodies anyway.. why not just go all out and make it official? TOWERS: ...It is scheduled for one fall.. and it is for the CZW INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP!!! Introducing the challenger.. representing Deus eX Machina... From Houston, Texas.. weighing in at 215lbs... he IS "The Human Highlight Reel"..... EEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIICCCCCCCCCC CCCCCCCCCCOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!! Collum extends his arms out by his sides, eyes still locked on those of Mike King as DXM offer their applause behind him, the crowd again offering a rather more mixed reaction. TOWERS: And his opponent.. representing The Wayward Sons... From Buckeye, Arizona.. weighing in at 210lbs... he is "The Egoist", and the current reigning CZW INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION..... MMMMMMMMMMIIIIIIIIIIKKKKKKKKKKEEEEEEEEEE KKKKKKKKKKIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!! King raises the belt above his head once again, as his fellow Sons offer their own ovation under a hail of cheers from the CZW fans. King then hands the belt to the referee, who holds it up again briefly before handing it to Towers as she exits the ring. Slowly, the members of DXM and Wayward Sons begin to back away from each other, eventually taking their leave from the ring and lining up across from each other on the outside.. as the referee calls for the bell. *DING DING!* Now accompanied only by the referee inside the ring, Collum and King slowly begin to circle, eyes firmly fixed on one another and limbs poised, ready to strike at any moment. King darts forward a little, but quickly retreats again as Collum swats at him in defence. As they complete a lap.. Collum suddenly turns round and walks towards the ropes, where he engages in discussion with his fellow DXM members, leaning his head through the ropes. DANIELS: Hold on.. what is this? The crowd voice their displeasure at Collum's apparent desire to stage an early intermission, as King extends his arms out in confusion. He glances to the referee, then charges at Collum.. who promptly pushes himself off the ropes and rolls back past MK, who bumps into the ropes as DMX proceed to mock him far-too-theatrically on the outside. King turns, and Collum immediately snaps him into a collar-and-elbow tie up, then twists him into a standing wristlock, laughing triumphantly as he leads King into the centre of the ring. KEENAN: GREAT strategy!! However, King quickly performs a front-flip out of the hold, then twists Collum's own arm behind him into a hammerlock. Collum tries to fight King off with a couple of elbows thrown back to the head, then grabs King round the neck and flips backwards up and over, landing on his feet behind King on the mat and jumping onto him with a sleeper hold. King tries to steady himself, then grabs Collum round the back of the head and drags him over snapmare-style to a seated position on the mat. King then charges forward and hits the ropes.. throws a kick, but Collum ducks.. kips up.. then grabs MK on the rebound and staggers him with an inverted atomic drop. King doubles forward, allowing Collum to grab him in a headlock as he once again lets a triumphant "HaHA!" burst out. DANIELS: This is more like it, some great chain wrestling on show here from both men! Collum's triumph is, once again, shortlived, as King punches him in the stomach a few times.. then grabs Collum by the back of the head.. doubles him over.. hooks a leg across Collum's shoulders and flips back, landing on the mat behind Collum and quickly hooking him up in a Full Nelson. DANIELS: ..And AGAIN the tide shifts, as Mike King counters Collum! Collum thrashes about, attempting to escape the hold. After a few seconds, King sets himself and lifts Collum up.. only for Collum to finally slip loose and take King over with a modified Prawn Hold. Collum tries to grab King's legs, but King manages to fight him off, then presses both soles against Collum's backside and shoves him forward, sending Collum chest-first into the ropes. King rolls backward and hops up to his feet, then hits the ropes.. charges.. only for Collum to turn and dropkick him in the knee, sending King falling forward and landing chest-first against the middle rope. Collum hits the ropes himself, as King slowly pulls himself back up.. steps backward.. but is then forced right back against the ropes once more by the onrushing Collum, who applies another sleeper hold. King forces himself backwards, and manages to veer himself towards the corner, half-running and half-falling to slam Collum back-first against the turnbuckle. Collum winces, but manages to keep the sleeper locked in.. at least until King jumps back for a second time. King stumbles forward as Collum remains in the corner clutching the back of his neck.. then King turns.. charges.. leaps.. but Collum ducks forwards, leaving MK to bounce sternum-first off the buckles. As King turns unsteadily round, Collum flips backwards, clocking King with a Pele Kick that drops the IC Champ to his knees against the ropes, as the crowd rises to its collective feet in appreciation of that opening exchange. DANIELS: Picture-perfect Pele there.. and I guess that means first "point" in the contest to Eric Collum! KEENAN: He's well on his way, Jarred.. it's only a matter of time! King attempts to get back to his feet, but Collum cuts him off by pressing a knee down into his back, forcing him down harder onto the ropes. Collum then reaches over and grabs the middle rope, pulling up on it and forcing it harder against King's windpipe. King kicks his feet against the canvas as he attempts to force himself free, while DXM once again take the opportunity to engage in a bit of mockery, sarcastically applauding King right in front of his face. DANIELS: DXM certainly enjoying themselves right now... I dunno about you, but after the last show I can't help but feel a little "uneasy" about them all being out here at ringside... KEENAN: Quit being paranoid, Jarred! They're just out here to make sure those Wayward Sons don't get up to any kind of shenanigans tonight! DANIELS: Yeah, I'm sure it's the SONS we need to be concerned about getting up to "shenanigans"... The referee begins a count, with Collum eventually relenting at four. Collum backs up, arms raised in a show of innocence as the referee warns him to follow the rules.. while El Pablo pops up onto the apron, grabs King around the head and slips off, slingshotting King up off the middle rope. DANIELS: Oh, you SEE!? KEENAN: What? King obviously just needed a little help getting back to his feet, is all! The force of EP's "assistance" does indeed snap King back to his feet, as he staggers backwards from the ropes and turns round, right into a boot to the midsection from Collum, who then grabs King in a front facelock.. drapes an arm up and over his own shoulder.. grabs King by the tights and lifts him and and over with a big vertical suplex. Collum keeps the facelock applied as he rolls over, then hauls King back up.. and hits a second, identical suplex. DANIELS: No questioning those suplexes though, a beautiful pair from Eric Collum.. is he gonna go for the third..!? Collum rolls through.. picks King up again.. lifts him up.. but King suddenly shifts his weight and rolls Collum back over into a Small Package... ONE! - - - - - TWO! - KICKOUT!!! Collum sits up, a somewhat-disbelieving smile on his face as he shakes his head, then gets back to his feet as King gets slightly-more-gingerly to a knee. Collum goes to grab King, but King cuts him off with a big punch to the gut. Collum doubles over, which allows King to follow up with a shot to the face. Collum reels backwards, as King gets to his feet, then follows up with another right hand to the face.. then another.. and another.. and another, forcing Collum back against the ropes. King then grabs Collum and performs an Irish whip.. but Collum reverses it, sending King across the ring.. into the ropes.. but King manages to keep hold, preventing the rebound. Collum charges forward, only for King to lower his head and lift Collum up and over the top rope.. but Collum manages to land on the apron, then promptly shoves MK hard in the back of the head, sending him stumbling forwards towards the centre of the ring. As King turns back around, Collum vaults up onto the top rope.. springboards.. King rolls forward out of the way.. Collum lands on his feet, turns round... *THWACK!* DANIELS: OHHH!! WHAT A BIG-TIME ROUNDHOUSE KICK TO THE HEAD BY MIKE KING.. THAT COULD DO IT EARLY HERE!!! Collum crumples to the mat, as King, somewhat-gingerly, rolls on top of him, hooking the leg as the referee drops into position... ONE! - - - - - TWO! - - - - KICKOUT!!! DANIELS: IS THA-oop, no.. near-fall that time.. but not too far away from retaining, was Mike King! KEENAN: He was nowhere near! King gets back to his feet, as Collum groggily begins to pick himself up too. Collum gets to a knee, at which point King quickly grabs him by the arm and twists Collum forward back down to the mat, locking in a Cross Armbreaker. DANIELS: Arm submission applied here.. Mike King obviously well-known for his technical proficiency inside that ring.. he can fly, too, but I would assume he'll figure that a submission-based offence is gonna give him a better chance of victory against the VERY aerially-proficient Eric Collum. KEENAN: Why's he working on the arm, though? Don't they always say your best bet against a high-flyer is to keep them grounded? DANIELS: Good point, but I would imagine King's looking to get Collum in prime conditioning for his patented St. Anger hold.. whichever particular variation he might choose it to be! Collum struggles against the hold for quite some time, reaching out for the ropes as DXM try to rally him from the outside, while the Sons encourage Mike King to keep the hold wrenched in. Eventually, though, King elects to break it, spinning back up to his feet as he wraps Collum's arm around his shin, then drops to his knees, snapping the arm back against the mat. Collum yelps, and rolls onto his side to clutch the same arm as King gets to his feet, then hauls Collum to his feet.. twists him into a hammerlock, then drops him on his head with a DDT. DANIELS: King with his Divorce Court DDT.. and twisted right into a kneeling armbar.. the champ suddenly looking right in control now! Collum grimaces again as King wrenches on his arm some more. He stretches for the ropes, but still finds himself well out of salvation's reach. With desperation building, Collum strains to twist his arm just a little, and manages to grab hold of MK's hair, pulling it back.. MK yelps in pain, and the referee warns Collum to let go. Collum obliges, but as a result is able to shift his position and begin firing kicks into the side of MK's head. This further weakens MK's grip, and Collum throws both his legs up, grabbing King in a headscissors. King finally releases Collum's arm, and attempts to prise himself free from Collum's clutches. DANIELS: Another great counter by Collum.. doing his level best to hang with the Intercontinental Champion here!! Collum presses his hand on his own knee, forcing his legs even tighter around the head and neck of King. Just as it looks like the champion might be fading.. King suddenly wraps his arms round Collum's waist.. plants his feet on the mat.. and with an almighty, if somewhat strangulated roar, hauls Collum clean off the canvas and drops him right back down with a version of a side slam. Collum's hold is broken, and King slumps to his stomach on the mat, panting heavily as he attempts to get breath back in his lungs. DANIELS: Desperation move by Mike King there, WHAT GREAT STRENGTH.. to counteract a desperation move put on HIM by Eric Collum! This match really is poised on a knife-edge right now! KEENAN: Without a doubt, Jarred.. we're witnessing a classic in the making right here! In fact, just a few moments ago our very own El Pablo tweeted the following... "OD Main Event: Proof positive that CZW has the finest wrestling talent in the business! Also @EgoistMikeKing is here. #ECIC #HEELPOSE" DANIELS: A little disrespectful, don't you think? KEENAN: What, you don't think CZW has the finest wrestling talent in the business? DANIELS: ... Finally, both men begin to stir, Collum clearly favouring his arm as he forces himself to a knee. King goes to grab him, but Collum fights back with a boot to the gut.. then a one-handed uppercut with his good arm. With King reeling, Collum turns and hits the ropes.. rebounds.. and Mike King snaps right back into action with a Kenka-style kick to Collum's bad shoulder. DANIELS: METALLICA KICK.. or at least a modified version of it, right into that bad arm of Eric Collum! Eric stumbles round, but somehow manages to stay on his feet, though he is obviously in a severe amount of pain. Eager to keep the pressure up, King grabs Collum by his good wrist and whips him.. Collum hits the ropes.. rebounds.. and King catches him with a second kick to the shoulder, this time dropping the challenger to the mat. DANIELS: BAH GAWD A SECOND KICK.. ERIC COLLUM'S SHOULDER COULD BE SEPERATED!!! Collum crawls to the ropes as King clenches his fists and extends his arms to his sides with a roar, the crowd screaming their support as Wayward Sons celebrate on the outside. Slowly, Collum pulls himself up using the ropes, as DXM try desperately to rally him out on the floor beside him. As soon as Collum plants a foot, King charges.. third kick.. but Collum rolls out of the way, leaving King with no choice but to hang himself up on the top rope. DANIELS: A MISS!!! KING.. LOOKING FOR THE FINAL NAIL IN THE COFFIN.. MAY HAVE GONE TO THE WELL ONCE TOO OFTEN!!! King gingerly unhooks his leg, then turns back into the ring.. right into a corkscrew dropkick from Collum that knocks King backwards through the ropes, out onto the apron. KEENAN: YES!!! DANIELS: COLLUM WITH A KICK OF HIS OWN.. MIKE KING SUDDENLY TEETERING ON THE BRINK OF A VERY BAD PLACE... Collum clutches his arm again, as he slowly forces himself back up to his feet again. King, too, is slow to stir on the apron, but he gradually pulls himself up with the help of the ropes... *THWACK!!!* DANIELS: SUPERKICK!!! BAH GAWD WHAT A SHOT TO THE JAW.. AND ERIC COLLUM HAS JUST SENT MIKE KING TUMBLING DOWN INTO THE SARLACC PIT!!! Collum collapses to the mat, still clutching his arm and gritting his teeth in pain. The members of Wayward Sons suddenly show signs of extreme concern, as the camera moves to show Mike King almost motionless on the floor.. right among the members of Deus eX Machina. DANIELS: This is a bad situation.. the absolute WORST situation that Mike King could find himself in this contest! His stablemates now looking agitated, and well they might.. Mike King out among the wolves here.. completely helpless!!! KEENAN: Jarred.. Deus eX Machina are CONSUMATE professionals.. they're not gonna do anything untoward here! The noise levels of the crowd are at least one stage past fever pitch, as the members of DXM look around the arena.. smirks slowly and sinisterly spreading across their faces. As King slowly begins to show signs of movement.. and with Shane and the girls keeping an eye on the Sons, who have begun to inch around the ring.. El Pablo slowly tip-toes over to King. He looks up at the referee, who demands that EP get King up and in the ring. EP holds his hands up in a look of compliance, then turns toward King.. bends down.. and grabs King with both hands by the face, slowly hauling him off the floor. KEENAN: See, Pablo's helping him up! As King gets to his unsteady feet, Pablo suddenly lurches forwards, driving both men to the floor and slamming the back of King's head against the barricade. DANIELS: GODDAMMIT COME ON!!! KEENAN: WHOOPS!!! Sensing EP may be struggling, Shane steps in to help, and both men haul King back to his feet, before promptly shoving him forward chest-first against the apron. The two then hoist King's legs up and dump him under the bottom rope, before turning to face each other.. EP offering a sheepish grin and a shrug as Shane rolls his eyes and shakes his head. SHANE: Careful, man! EL PABLO: I'm sorry.. I'm just so clumsy.. or beat up from my match.. or something! Having now been forcibly brought around, King slowly stumbles back to his feet. He turns back into the ring.. and takes another kick to the midsection from Collum, who then grabs him in a front facelock before twisting and driving King to the mat with a cutter. DANIELS: TWIST OF FATE! GODDAMMIT, DON'T LET IT BE OVER!! NOT LIKE THIS!!! Still wincing slightly, Collum rolls MK over, hooking the leg as the referee drops into position... ONE! - - - - - TWO! - - - - - TH-KICKOUT!!! KEENAN: HE GOT HIM!!! DANIELS: NO HE DIDN'T! IT WAS A TWO-COUNT ONLY! A LONG, L O N G TWO COUNT.. BUT, THANKFULLY, THIS MATCH IS GOING TO CONTINUE!!! KEENAN: WILL YOU STOP BEING SO BIASED, JARRED!?!? Collum stares up at the referee in shock, but quickly moves to pummeling King with fists to the face. Collum then rips King off the mat.. drapes an arm over his own shoulder.. hops.. and flips backwards, taking King with him and planting him to the mat with a C-4. Collum rolls off.. pushes himself up to his feet with one hand again.. then hops over MK's prone body.. leaps onto the second rope.. and springs backwards with a moonsault, pausing after the impact for a moment to clutch his shoulder again before falling over King for another cover... DANIELS: LIONSAULT CONNECTS!!! KEENAN: NOW IT'S OVER!!! ONE! - - - - - TWO! - - - - - THR-KICKOUT!!! DANIELS: NO!!! KING KICKED OUT AGAIN!!! KEENAN: WHAT THE HELL IS THIS!?!?!? COUNT TO THREE, REF.. COME ON!!! Collum pounds the mat in frustration, before stomping back to his feet and dragging King to a position just in front of the corner. Collum then steps over King's body again, and begins to climb the turnbuckle. DANIELS: Collum going up top here.. he knows he's obviously gotta go big.. and there aren't many who can go big quite like Eric Collum! The fans pick up the noise once more as Collum sets his feet on the top rope.. steadies himself.. stands upright... then springs backwards with a moonsault, continuing through with the rotation to land with a leg drop across the chest of King. DANIELS: MOONSAULT LEG DROP! ONE OF COLLUM'S SIGNATURE MANEUVERS!! BAH GAWD.. THAT'S GOTTA BE ALL NOW!!! Collum crawls back over to King and lies back across him, clutching his shoulder yet again as the referee drops... ONE! - - - - - TWO! - - - - - THRE-KICKOUT!!! DANIELS: OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD! MIKE KING.. I DON'T BELIEVE IT.. MIKE KING KICKED OUT YET AGAIN!!! WHAT ON EARTH IS IT GONNA TAKE FOR ERIC COLLUM TO WIN THIS THING!?!?!?!? KEENAN: GODDAMMIT DARREN POWERS, DO YOUR FUCKING JOB!!! ONE, TWO, THREE!!! ED COVEY MASTERED IT EVENTUALLY, I KNOW YOU SURE AS SHIT CAN!!! DANIELS: Who's being biased now, Barry!? KEENAN: This is a travesty of justice, Jarred! Eric Collum should be Intercontinental Champion right now.. THREE TIMES!!! DANIELS: Oh, and I suppose DXM getting involved repeatedly isn't considered a "travesty of justice" in your book!? KEENAN: You don't know what you're talking about! Collum by now appears on the verge of a rage, as he leaps to his feet and gets right up close in the face of Powers, demanding the official acknowledge the three-count. Obviously, Powers refuses, so Collum instead turns to focus his frustration on King. Collum storms over and hauls the champion off the mat once again, leading him over to a "neutral" set of ropes. He grabs King in a front facelock again, then hauls him up suplex-style, before turning and dropping King sternum-first across the top rope. With King teetering, Collum then turns and charges towards the corner.. hops up onto the second rope and springs off with a twist, nailing King in the side of the head with a dropkick. King crumples to the apron, then down to the floor, as Wayward Sons move in quickly to protect King from any more "assistance" from DXM. KEENAN: No fair, they can't get involved like that! DANIELS: Oh you've GOT to be kidding me!!! Collum slowly pulls himself up again in the ring, his shoulder still causing him an obvious extreme level of discomfort. As the Sons tend to King, and help him start getting back to his feet, Collum steadies himself in the centre of the ring... then turns.. charges.. hits the ropes on the far side of the ring.. rebounds.. charges back.. steps up onto the top rope.. and springboards off with a perfect swan dive tope that sends the entire Wayward collective crumpling to the floor. DANIELS: WHAT A MOVE! AN INCREDIBLE SUICIDE ATTACK BY ERIC COLLUM.. HE JUST WIPED OUT THE ENTIRE OPPOSITION!!! KEENAN: That's what you get!!! Slowly, Collum is able to pull himself up out of the wreckage, dragging King with him and leading him back towards the apron. Collum hauls King up and rolls him under the bottom rope, then takes a moment to try and get his breath back. As he does so, he spots Krimzon Blaze getting to his feet right behind him. Once steadied, KB turns round.. and gets slapped right across the face by Collum, who immediately dives into the ring. Stunned and enraged, KB attempts to give chase, but is cut off by Powers, who has to physically restrain Blaze on the apron to stop him diving in. DANIELS: Now what the hell was that for!?!? With the official's back turned, Collum picks King up and drags him across the ring, then dumps him back outside at the feet of his DXM stablemates again. KEENAN: OHHHHOHOHOHO.. BRILLIANT!!! DANIELS: I don't believe this... Collum slumps against the ropes, seizing the opportunity to take a breather as DXM calmly surround MK on the outside. EP hops up onto the announce table, sitting Indian-style as he begins to trash-talk King. This appears to rouse the Champion, who glares up at the Machina Dragon as he groggily forces himself up to his feet... *WHAM!!!* ..and is promptly blasted in the side of the head by a running boot from Ryan Shane. The crowd loudly voices their disapproval, as Shane merely looks around confused, obviously feigning ignorance. DANIELS: NO!!! NO!!! DAMMIT, NO!!! DXM then haul the lifeless King up, and dump him back under the ropes and into the ring. DANIELS: Deus eX Machina are gonna steal another title belt here, folks.. this is disgusting... OH, BUT HERE COME THE WAYWARD SONS!!! Having finally seen enough, King's stablemates begin to charge round the ring towards DXM.. but find themselves cut off just shy of arms' length by Powers, who leaps outside in a desperate attempt to maintain order. DANIELS: Oh, hi Darren! Decided to join us have you, finally!? KEENAN: Stop being such a nark, Jarred! As things rapidly career towards boiling point on the outside, Collum hauls an almost-lifeless King to his feet once again on the inside... only to have King suddenly snap back to life, grab Collum by the arm and take him down to the mat with a Lebell Lock. DANIELS: WAIT A SECOND! IN THE RING!!! MIKE KING HAS THE ST. ANGER II LOCKED ON COLLUM!!! KEENAN: HE WHA- ...HOW THE HELL DID THAT HAPPEN!?!?!? DANIELS: MIKE KING.. THE DEFENDING INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION.. WRENCHING ON THAT HOLD.. THAT ALREADY-WOUNDED ARM.. RIGHT IN THE CENTRE OF THE RING!!! Collum thrashes about, desperately trying to find a way out of the hold. He throws an arm forward, almost digging his fingernails into the canvas as he tries to crawl towards the ropes. With a torturous amount of effort.. Collum manages to move an inch..... another inch..... three inches..... two inches..... five inches..... DANIELS: COLLUM INCHING.. CRAWLING DESPERATELY FOR THE ROPES... THE INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE HANGING IN THE BALANCE!!! REFEREE, GET BACK IN THE RING DAMMIT, THIS THING'S ABOUT TO BE OVER!!!!! ...three inches..... one inch..... KING GETS TO HIS FEET AND DRAGS COLLUM BACK TO THE CENTRE! KEENAN: NOOOOOOO!!!!! King slaps the lock back on, and wrenches back as hard as he possibly can. Suddenly, on the outside, Cassidy shoves Darrin Powers into Daniel Ward.. who shoves him into Ryan Shane.. who shoves him into Mike Monroe... DANIELS: BAH GAWD IT'S.. it's like ping-pong out here! As Powers continues to be shoved from pillar to post... Collum starts tapping out. DANIELS: BUT L- ..COLLUM IS TAPPING! COLLUM IS TAPPING!!! THIS MATCH SHOULD BE OVER!!! KEENAN: Has he tapped? I can't see anything.. AND NEITHER DOES THE REFEREE, JARRED!!! DANIELS: DAMMIT.. MIKE KING SHOULD HAVE HIS CHAMPIONSHIP SECURED!!! Now aware of the lack of any kind of official, King releases the hold and gets to his feet, leaving Collum writhing in pain on the mat. Spotting the chaos on the outside, King storms over to the ropes, eyes burning as he looks down at his stablemates. KING: JOSH!!! Perfectly sensing King's wishes, Joshua Newsome suddenly snaps forward, grabbing Powers and hauling him up into a Gorilla Press position, as the rest of the Sons and Deus eX Machina finally connect in an almighty brawl around him. Newsome turns, and tosses Powers through the ropes into the ring, as King marches over towards the corner, leaning against the turnbuckle as he watches Collum slowly try and get to his feet. When the Highlight Reel finally does get upright, King charges, nailing a spear and snapping Collum right back down to the canvas. King quickly pops back up, pulling Collum with him. He steps round behind Collum, crossing his arms across his own body, then hauls him up and over with a big release German Suplex. DANIELS: What a hellacious spear.. followed by a DAMN IMPRESSIVE German Suplex considering the pain Mike King must be feeling right now! You know what comes next, Barry... KEENAN: I hope to got it's an intervention!!! Right on cue, El Pablo attempts to slide into the ring, but is caught by the legs and dragged back out by Mike Monroe, before being rocked back with a European Uppercut from Daniel Ward.. who is then promptly taken down with a flying body press from Cristal. Back in the ring, King picks Collum up once again.. then shoves his head between his legs, crossing the arms.. hauls Collum up.. and drives him HARD to the mat with a Ricola Bomb. DANIELS: KING BOMB!!! KING BOMB!!! IT'S OVER!!! KEENAN: IT'S A BAD DREAM!!! King drapes himself over Collum's body, as Powers dives into position to make the count... ONE! - - - - - TWO! - - - - - THRE-KICKOUT!!! DANIELS: WHAT!?!?!?!?!? KEENAN: WHAT!?!?!?!?!? The roof is almost blown off the arena by the explosion of noise as Collum somehow throws a shoulder off the mat. Even the brawl on the outside is brought to a stop.. though only momentarily, as Shane drives KB's head into the top of the announce table. King just lies beside Collum on the mat, his head in his hands as he desperately tries to make sense of the fact that this match is still going on. DANIELS: Folks, I don't... I don't know what to say. KEENAN: There's nothing TO say, Jarred.. this is one of the greatest contests that CZW has ever seen.. case closed! King slowly crawls over to the corner and pulls himself to his feet, still halfway between intense thought and a nervous breakdown. Outside the ring, EP is whipped by Ward towards Newsome, who hauls the Machina Dragon up into the air.. but EP manages to stick a landing on the apron. Appearing somewhat surprised by this, EP looks back at the pair of Sons with a grin, then turns back around.. right into a Roundhouse Kick from Mike Monroe. EP spins round and topples off the apron, right into the clutches of Newsome. Newsome turns to face the announce table.. tosses EP up into a powerbomb position.. and is promptly smashed in the back of the knees by a steel chair courtesy of Cristal, which sends Newsome toppling backwards and results in EP landing knees first over his face. Back in the ring, King finally grabs Collum again, and leads him over to the corner of the ring. King props Collum against the turnbuckle, then slowly and agonisingly lifts him up into a seated position on the top rope. DANIELS: King has Collum teetering... I can't even imagine what kind of move it's gonna take to win this match now! With Collum set, King climbs up after him, pulling both men into a standing position on the top rope. King grabs Collum in a front facelock.. drapes Collum's arm over his shoulder.. but Collum suddenly starts fighting back, throwing fist after fist into King's midsection. King is forced to release the lock, which allows Collum to stand upright and fire a stiff headbutt right into King's forehead. DANIELS: OOOF.. a sickening headbutt.. this a REAL precarious position here, people... Collum follows up with another headbutt.. then a third.. and a fourth.. and King falls backwards, slamming HARD onto the mat. DANIELS: KING IS DOWN! KING IS DOWN! AND ERIC COLLUM.. IN PRIME POSITION!!! The crowd somehow finds yet another volume level as Collum stands upon the top rope, looking down at the prone King far below him. Back on the outside, Newsome hauls EP back to his feet.. and is promptly caught flush in the face with a burst of bright blue Machina Mist. As Newsome slowly slumps to the floor, EP turns round triumphantly.. right into the clutches of Krimzon Blaze, who hauls him up over his shoulders and quickly drops him with the Kode Of Silence. Blaze turns around.. right into a Sublimation from Ryan Shane! Shane looks up at Collum, as the "Human Highlight Reel" finally steadies himself.. leaps.. spins.. spins.. and comes crashing down across the chest of King with a 630 splash. DANIELS: AERIAL REVOLUTION!!! HE HITS IT!!! BAH GAWD HE HITS IT!!! Collum bounces up into a seated position.. then merely slumps back over King, completely spent... ONE! - - - - - TWO! - - - - - THREE!!! *DING DING DING!* "Taking You Down" returns to the soundsystem, though there is no movement from either man inside the ring as Towers stands on the outside. TOWERS: The winner of this match... and NEWWWWWWWWWW CZW INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION..... EEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIICCCCCCCCCC CCCCCCCCCCOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!! Powers raises Collum's hand limply in victory, as Shane climbs into the ring with Eric's new title belt tucked under his arm. Cassidy and Cristal follow just behind, all of them sporting varying signs and effects of battle fatigue, as the equally-bruised Wayward Sons move to check on Newsome and Blaze on the outside. DANIELS: What a match... what a match we have just seen, ladies and gentlemen! I won't sit here and tell you that it wasn't controversial.. I won't even sit here and tell you I'm happy with the result.. but, whatever your thoughts on Deus eX Machina.. you have to give a HELL of a lot of credit to Eric Collum for his performance here tonight! KEENAN: That you do, Jarred.. that you do! He took everything that Mike King could throw at him.. EVERYTHING.. and he managed to come out on top and add a THIRD notch to his CZW Championship belt.. belt! DANIELS: No argument there, but give Mike King his dues as well.. the man pushed Eric Collum to his absolute LIMIT.. and had to contend with more than a little "distraction" from other sources... he'll hurt like hell in the morning.. physically AND emotionally.. but Mike King can be immensely proud of everything he did here tonight.. and of everything he's contributed to the Intercontinental Championship Division over the past 155 days! Shane and the girls gently help Collum to his feet, as El Pablo finally manages to shake off the effects of the Kode of Silence enough to drag himself under the ropes to join them. Cristal runs over and helps her boyfriend to his feet, then all five members take up position in the centre of the ring.. where Collum finally musters the strength to raise the title belt high above his head to a standing ovation from the CZW crowd. DANIELS: Folks, we're out of time.. but what a night we have witnessed here in Pikeville, Kentucky... where do the Wayward Sons.. DXM.. and indeed, CZW go from here? Tune in next time to find out! KEENAN: LATAH!
